Gerald Valme, MD. PC, Dr Gerald Valme is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician with over 38 years of diverse experience practicing in Brooklyn New York. He is currently an Associate Professor and an Attending Physician of the Department of Family Medicine at Brooklyn Hospital Center. Furthermore, he is a program coordinator of Haitian coalition for AIDs and was the Vice President of Asclepius medical society from 1998- 2000. Dr Gerald Valme attended Medical School at Ross University and graduated with Honors in 1983. He attended General Surgery Residency at Harlem Hospital from 1987-1989 and completed a Family Medicine Residency from 1989-1992 at Bronx Lebanon University New York.
He is the Chief Medical Officer at the FVM Clinic in Haiti, serving those in need with Pediatric and Adult care. Doctor Valme has been actively involved in all aspects of the humanitarian efforts at FVM and has served as the Vice president of the organization for a number of years. He has championed the proper nutrition for malnourished children and medical care to the poor and disadvantaged. He understands the challenges the poor face in accessing proper healthcare and has remained committed to alleviating this problem by collaborating with local and international healthcare experts to provide preventative healthcare by organizing Annual Medical Missions to Haiti, monthly Health Fairs, Immunization and Vaccine programs, Mental healthcare and Drug rehabilitation. Dr Gerald Valme is the son of Evangelist Fernande Valme and follows in his mother’s footsteps by putting the needs of others above his.
